Our approved BSIS training courses cover all Guard Card Requirements in a personalized classroom setting:
This course provides the 8-hours of Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force training required by the CA State BSIS to apply for a Guard Card. The course is the first step of the three step process to getting a CA State Guard Card.
BSIS requires 32 hours of BSIS-approved continuing education training (16 hours within 30 days of guard card approval and 16 hours within six months of guard card approval).
The Baton Permit course teaches you how to use a baton safely and legally. Our course will cover topics such as legal and moral aspects, use of force, defensive tactics, and much more.
This course is offered to current Security Guard registrants seeking to obtain their BSIS Firearms Permit. During the course, applicants will participate in an assessment to demonstrate that they are capable of the appropriate judgment, restraint and self-control for the purposes of carrying and using a firearm when performing security guard duties.
Once awarded your Exposed Firearm Permit, licensees are required to requalify four times throughout the two year permit. During each qualification you must attend a 2 hour refresher course.
The goal of our first aid and/or CPR AED training class is for participants to gain or improve basic knowledge and skill proficiency in adult first aid and/or CPR AED for an adult, child, and infant.

Part B is only available to our students after they have already completed part A online. The 5-hour in-person Part B Appropriate Use of Force (AUOF) is necessary to complete the mandatory 8-hour training for your initial application.

Students are expected to show proficiency in handling, manipulating, and drawing a firearm. You must have a CCW application approval from your local Sheriff’s office before taking this class.

The rifle training course includes safety, rifle familiarization, fundamentals of marksmanship, ammunition, shooting techniques, maintenance, ballistics and zeroing, legal and ethical considerations, and practical exercises. Courses can range from basic introductory courses for beginners to advanced courses focusing on precision shooting, tactical applications, or specific rifle platforms (e.g., bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles).
